Beautiful 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air Desk made from a real car
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air front end car desk. This item is created from a real junk yard car, not a reproduction of any kind. The car is lovingly restored to show room new condition with all new chrome plating, high gloss clear coat paint, working headlights, new wide white wall tires, full wheel covers, polished stainless steel hardware, and much more. The conversion into an office desk is done thru an all metal construction using plate steel die cut with a plasma cutter then heliarc welded to perfection. The office desk is a vintage 'tanker' style, that is stripped and refurbished. The work surface of the desk is a nice thick laminate, the standard is black but we can get custom colors.
Our standard 57 Chevy car desk measures 132 cm deep front to back, the car itself is around 122 cm then we have the black bumper bullets overhanging in the front a little bit and the black laminate work surface overhanging in the back a little bit. The width of the desk is dictated by the stock car and measures 185,4 cm n left to right. The height of the car top to bottom is around 81,3 cm, typically this is adjusted to accommodate the passage through a doorway where you would tip the car headlights towards the sky and move the desk thru that way.
